A Visit from Santa
December 2006

Santa likes to see healthy and happy children, so he made a special pre-Chirstmas visit to The Center for Family Wellness. Dr. Aplin took the afternoon off so Santa could use his office to visit with his special friends and get their last-minute Christmas wishes.

The entire staff baked goodies for their guests and Christmas music played softly in the background as children lined up to have their faces painted and their pictures taken with Santa.

LifeSouth Blood Drive
October 2006

The Center for Family Wellness teamed up with LifeSouth for a blood drive on October 30, 2006. LifeSouth is a system of non-profit, volunteer blood centers that provides blood components and services to more than 110 medical facilities in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Thanks to the kind donations of our patients and the staff at The Center for Family Wellness, we exceeded LifeSouth's goal by more than 50%! To say thanks to all who took time out of their busy schedules, Anne Cain, a massage therapist with The Center for Family Wellness gave free 15-minute chair massages.

Hurricane Katrina Tent Round-Up
September 2006

To aid Hurricane Katrina victims in Mississippi, The Center for Family Wellness participated in a community-based drive to collect and provide tents to those still without housing facilities.
